Minor Pentatonic Scale/Free Backing Track
Today, we are going to learn how to play one of the most useful scales for playing guitar solos. This scale is used very commonly in Rock, Metal, Blues, County and Jazz.
I have written the same scale using tab as well as with a scale diagram. Practice playing the scale, all the way up and down for right now. In the future you can use this scale to try and come up with your own guitar solos, and play them over your favorite chord progressions. You will be able to use this same scale pattern in many different ways and simply by sliding the same position up or down the neck of your guitar it is possibly for the same scale shape to sound good with various sets of chords. If you play the scale in this position (starting on the 5th fret) the notes will go along well with the chords from the attached backing track.
Having a good guitar teacher will help you learn much faster, but until then, have fun jamming and practicing this scale over the free backing track. Learn more about guitar lessons HERE
